A Casino is filled with hundreds of games and lights. It the sounds of the games being played Question and the cards being shuffled are so overwhelming it leaves you momentarily speechless. So, where do you start? Challenge your luck with Roulette? Know your answer instantly with a Slot Machine? Or practice strategy and intensity with Black Jack. There is no doubt that Black Jack is one of the most popular games to bet on in a casino next to Roulette. There are black Jack leagues on television, you can play online, or at home. You don’t need a wheel or a fancy machine. All you need are a lucky deck of cards, a good set of ships and a determination to take the dealer down. The object of black jack or “21” is to beat the dealer. If your cards total then the dealer’s cards without going over 21 you win the round. If your hand or the dealer’s hand goes over 21 you “bust” (lose). If the dealer busts and you don’t, you win. And finally if you bust you lose regardless if the dealer busts or not. Main point to remember is to stay under 21. Blackjack is dealt on a special table that is shaped as a semi-circle. When you sit down you must buy chips from the dealer or bring them from another table. After all bets are placed, the play begins. At any point during a game you are free to sit in and wait for the next round.

After a round you are also free to leave. Each player is dealt two cards that are faced up and the dealer receives one, as well as one faced down. This is known as the hole card. After the dealer disburses the cards he or she will ask each player to make their decision based on the dealer’s up card and the two you were dealt. Based on what you have, you may choose to get another card (hit) or stay with what you have (stand). Each is symbolized with a hand motion; if you choose to hit you would tap on the table twice and if you choose to stand you would wave your hand on top of the cards. If you are satisfied with your original two cards before hitting you can double down, which then you will receive one card only on your hand. If you choose to split, the dealer will split your cards into two separate hands to bet on. This bet must be equal to your standing bet. The more you play the more you will understand the game, practice is encouraged. Play black jack right, and you can walk away with generous earnings, play it wrong and you can end up empty handed.
